Although the scare was pretty basic, the ride was very enjoyable. Monsters and ghouls popped out to frighten you on the way. You get to sit in a small car of 2 people and this car takes you around the whole house. One of the highlight, however, was the haunted house ride which costed 3,50 EUR and lasted a little over 5 min. Of course the ride could lasted longer than 3 rounds of 5 min in total but given that the price is lower than the other wheel, it was worth it. The view from the top was definitely worth the ride. We were given blankets for the ride as well. The ferris wheel was a smaller wheel and costed 5 EUR per person. The park has good photo-ops and the main rides that we wanted to do was a ferris wheel and a haunted house ride. Many of the rides were closed but the park still had its lights on and that created good atmosphere. The park is easily accessible by tram and it was pretty much empty. The weather was quite cold but it was worth the trip. We visited the Prater Park at night around 20h in January. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. Prater is one of the famous amusement parks in the city of Vienna and its Giant Ferris wheel is a very popular symbol in the city.
